Nothing defines mid-August in Fort Collins better than Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest! This free three-day music festival in downtown Fort Collins has been a staple in the community for years, and this year it’s shaping up to be better than ever.
Kicking off NewWestFest Aug. 14 is Savage Cabbage at the Mountain Stage and Winchester Holiday at the Library Park Stage, both at 5 p.m. From there, numerous bands – including headliners Flobots, Steve Miller Band and Rodrigo y Gabriela – will take five different downtown stages during Aug. 14, 15 and 16.
Not only will festival-goers be able to enjoy continual free music throughout the weekend, but there will also be more than 250 booths featuring art, food, local businesses and more! Children are welcome to explore the two different kids’ sections as well, which includes musical instrument interaction and a full-sized carnival.
Be sure to bring lots of sunscreen and water as the festival will be outside. Keep alcoholic beverages at home, though, and wait to purchase them inside the festival. Taking the MAX (bus stops on Mason Street) is strongly encouraged; operating hours are extended to accommodate festival attendees.
