It doesn’t matter if you have disagreements on hot button issues, political scandals or your neighbor’s AstroTurf. If you live in northern Colorado and it’s summertime, there’s something we can all agree on: a chilled mug of beer is quite fine indeed.
The Gnarly Barley Brew Festival on August 1 is the place to be for all the Colorado beer fanatics. From 1-6 p.m., The Larimer County Fair at The Ranch in Loveland will feature everything from great brews to great music.
Festival-goers will have the opportunity to try beers from more than 20 Colorado breweries. Throughout the afternoon, there will also be beer and food pairing every half hour on a first-come, first-serve basis. Better yet, basement brew masters will have the chance to show off their skills at the Homebrew Competition. See competition rules here.
It wouldn’t be a festival without live music to enjoy with a beer in hand. Some of the best Colorado bands will be hitting the stage at Gnarly. Full lineup:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Sammy Dee Morton
- 1:30-3:30 p.m. – Rocktin Grove
- 4-6 p.m. – Archie Funker
- 7:30-9:30 p.m. – Von Stomper
This is an outdoor event – rain or shine – so be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and a blanket or chair for seating. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit gnarlybarleybrewfest.com.
