New Belgium’s bike-in movie nights are back!

For the last 10 years New Belgium has hosted their very own Bike-in Cinema and this year is no different!

Gather with friends and family on blankets or in chairs and catch a film just out the front doors of their Mothership.  While we are lucky enough to have one of the few operational drive-in theaters left in the nation, this bike-in cinema in a whole new experience that you must try.  You’ll be sipping a beer under the stars with fellow bike riders, taking in a film, while enjoying the warm Colorado summer night. What a magnificent evening!

This summer’s lineup is as follows:

  • Aug. 21st – Ratatouille
  • Aug. 28th – The Breakfast Club & Whensday (DOUBLE FEATURE!)
  • Sept. 4th – Stand By Me
  • Sept. 11th – Ghostbusters

The gates open up at 7pm each night before the showing with the film starting at dusk.  Entrance to the event is only $2/person and beers will $4, with the proceeds benefiting the non-profit organization, Wolverine Farm Publishing.  That being said, leave your beers at home and have one at the show to help support their organization!

Remember to ride safe, and bring your bike lights for the ride home.

NewWestFest kicks off in Old Town Fort Collins

New West Fest 2014

Historic Downtown Fort Collins is set to host some of Colorado’s best live entertainment this weekend at Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest!

As 70+ local Colorado bands flood in to town, the community will begin to celebrate the town’s birthday with three days of live music and entertainment starting August 15th at 5pm and run through August 17th at 7pm.  The free all encompassing festival, in its 10th year with the Bohemian Nights music lineup, expects to see over 100,000 people throughout the weekend festivities.

With six music stages, the Dance Showcase Stage and Kids’ World Stage, the yearly annual event provides nonstop entertainment that is fun for all ages. Music genres covering all spectrums including Reggae, Bluegrass, Pop, R&B, and Folk (just to name a few), will feature both up-and-coming artists and well known bands from across the nation.  Over 250 vendor booths will be onsite as well, offering goods, services, information, and of course, great food and beverages.

And a festival isn’t complete without a little food and a cold beer, so come hungry and thirsty to try some of local favorites.  But make sure you leave your alcohol at home.  We will be on site pouring a variety of cold beers for you to cool off with.  Look for us in designated drinking areas and swing by for a cold beer before heading out to listen to your favorite bands!

For many, the mid-August event symbolizes the end of summer and their vacations, and really we can’t think of a better way to close out a spectacular summer!
